Dr Sharron Wiley Davis
MBBS (Syd) FRACGP GP, ED VMO, Surfer.
I live on Bungan Beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I work in General Practice at Avalon Beach. So I surf around this area, Avalon, Bungan, Mona Vale, Warriewood and Narrabeen.
Favourite Surf Destination
Anything tropical, I love Indonesia, Fiji, Tahiti, French Polynesia. I’m heading to Papua in a couple of weeks. I also love our amazing Australian surf breaks, West and East Coast and our amazing island breaks.
Surf Travel Experience
I first traveled to Indonesia in 1982 and fell in love and still can’t get enough of it even though parts of it, particularly Bali, has changed a lot since then. I still love to surf Uluwatu and Impossibles. Bingin tends to get too crowded these days and is an accident waiting to happen. We are always looking for unspoilt, uncrowded new frontiers. I’m off Indo, Morotai and PNG in a couple of weeks. I love Fiji and have been there many times and surfed Cloudbreak and surrounding breaks and Frigates and the Coral Coast. I have been to Tahiti twice and French Polynesia which is amazingly beautiful and still has deserted secret spots.
I spent 2 1/2 years traveling the world before I studied Medicine. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, UK, Greek and Italian Islands, Asia, North America, South America.
Education and Work Experience
I studied Medicine at Sydney Uni. Worked in the ED for 3 years. Did my GP Fellowship. I now work in General Practice and also do fly in fly out stints and VMO work in the ED.
I also work as a Stunt Doctor and provide Medical support for film and TV work.
